The next edition of Pleanáil — the Journal of the Irish Planning Institute — will be published in December 2017. Abstracts for articles are now invited.
There are a number of changes to Pleanáil this year, including the awarding of an honorarium for articles published in Pleanáil.
The journal is now inviting abstracts for papers which are relevant to those working across the broad field of planning and which make a contribution to debates both in Ireland and internationally. Reviews of books, materials and resources that may be of interest to planners may also be considered. Abstracts from contributors who are not professional planners are welcome.
In recognition of the effort that is required in order to prepare such an article, a modest honorarium will be paid for contributions accepted by the editorial group and published in Pleanáil 2018. Please send abstracts of no more than 250 words to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5 p.m. on Friday, 21 April 2017, for consideration.
Abstracts will be reviewed and contributors contacted by Friday, 5 May 2017.
All papers submitted on the basis of accepted abstracts will be required to conform to the requirements set out at http://www.ipi.ie/news/plean%C3%A1il-and-student-plean%C3%A1il-2018-call-abstracts-and-call-entries. Please note we cannot accept papers which do not conform strictly to the requirements.
All papers submitted undergo a refereeing process which may suggest revisions or edits to contributors to ensure consistency and quality. These revisions must be completed no later than September 2017 to allow publication.
The editorial group welcomes queries from contributors who may wish to discuss possible subject matter and approaches by email to email@example.com or to +353 (0)1 8788630.
